Dear Rose Members,

August marks a pivotal and exciting month at The Rose as construction on the Downtown Club nears completion.  Once ready, the space will serve as a welcoming extension of the Club in the heart of Athens.  We look forward to inviting members in as soon as its ready, with a formal grand opening announcement to follow shortly after we receive our Certificate of Occupancy

On the course, construction continues to accelerate. Grassing efforts are now focused on the areas surrounding greens and bunkers. August will be an especially productive month, with plans to complete the green surrounds and sprig the greens. We look forward to hosting members this fall to see the remarkable transformation firsthand.

ELIJAH PAULSEN, DOWNTOWN CLUB MANAGER

We're also delighted to officially welcome Elijah Paulsen as our Downtown Club Manager. Elijah joins us from Berkeley Hall Club, bringing over 20 years of experience in food and beverage operations. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Elijah's passion for wine led him to the Willamette Valley, where he earned his Level 1 Sommelier certification. He is excited to help deliver a world-class experience at the Downtown Club, and we're thrilled to have him on board.

August Billing

In conjunction with the Downtown Club's upcoming opening, members will receive billing for the second of three initiation fee installments. The final installment will not be due until the main Clubhouse opens in Fall 2026. Member billing will go out on Tuesday, August 5th.  Members will have the option to sign up for ACH and pay online through our updated member website.  Please feel free to reach out with any questions.   

Member Referrals

As a reminder, The Rose is built entirely from within, through the referrals of our members. With the fall season approaching and the course taking shape, now is an ideal time to introduce prospective members to the Club.

We look forward to sharing more details including the official Grand Opening date of the Downtown Club in the coming weeks.
